Van Hire Inc Van Driver If Poss

Hi there
Bought a gorgeous leather sofa in Next (Belfast) yesterday half price. However the catch is that you have to arrange collection and delivery yourself! I have looked yell.com and have seen a firm in Belfast which charges £60 per day - however you have to drive the van yourself. Only problem is - being a mere female i don't think i would be comfortable driving a van. Does anyone know of a company in Belfast or Carrick area who could supply either a driver or even better 2 guys to collect this for me. Please note they would need to be insured as this is an italian leather sofa and i don't want it damaged.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I would have thought even for half a day, the hire of a van plus two blokes is going to offset the savings you made on this in the first place.
Surely if you can hire a van for £60 (though make sure its big enough!), you must know a couple of blokes who could give you a hand and maybe drive the van too?0 -
Surely some of your friends must have a car & trailer........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

Dont be scared of a van, most arent much bigger than a large estate and they drive just like a car if it's a transit or the like0

Cheers Belfastbelle - think i will ring these people.
Thank you for the other comments also but i saved nearly £600 on this sofa so i dont think van hire is going to cost that much!
I do know people who drive vans for work but they are covered in oil inside and would not be suitable. I thought this would be the best way of asking for advice as it is a moneysaving forum. It is a bit of nuisance having to arrange this especially as parking is limited in Calendar Street (back of Next store).
Many thanks for all your help.Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0 -

Hi just want to thank everyone on here for their help. Special thanks to Belfastbelle as i contacted the company she recommended. Hired a van and driver for £30 per hr which i think is pretty good. They will also take away my old sofa so will save me hassle of contacting council and waiting for ever to have it picked up.
Once again many thanks for all the replies.Payment A Day £15 (started 17/5/14) :j0
