Value of car and BR

Options
Hi going BR on weds our car is needed to get back and fourth to work etc, picking my son up fron gradnparent after school and hospital appointments which seem to be every other week at the moment and to attent A&E for anti-emetic injections when he is really poorly. Car is worh about £2155 on parkers guide do you think they will allow us to keep this I know cars are a mind field but is the strict £2000 set in stone and if it what allowance do the allow, because if this is £2000 then they probably would only make at £150 then the selling costs etc have to come out of this, when will we know if we can keep the car at the first interview

First off good luck for wed

As far as the car is concerned there is no way we can predict what YOUR OR will decide. It is one of those situations where you will have to wait and see i am afraid. We can only go on the general examples that we see here. If YOUR OR does not exempt your car you can still appeal their decison, so all is not lost.

I would just say sit tight, wait and see,and argue if need be. If you do lose the car,so be it, small price to pay for being debt free;) . Dx

Agreed....there is NO consistency between OR's so at the end of the day its whatever they decide...and in the end if you dont agree with the OR decisions you can always appeal as D sugests...what you need to do is prepare a good case as to why you need to keep the car rather than want to if that makes sense

and good luck for weds...bonfire night eh as well? :o)
