Wedding planner folder/book - recommendations please

Yay my sister's just text to say she's got engaged (to be fair I knew in advance as I was enlisted to find out the ring size, but I'm still v excited!). :j

So... I'd like to get a present and the first place I looked was on these boards ;)... I now know that I'd like to get some sort of wedding planner, but I don't really know anything about them!

A quick search on Amazon throws these up:

The Wedding Planner - Antonia Swinson
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wedding-Planner-Antonia-Swinson/dp/1841721468

Wedding Planner - Lynda Wright
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wedding-Planner-Everything-Organising-Reception/dp/1905261136

Wedding Planner Bible - Sarah Hayward
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wedding-Bible-Planner/dp/0954712919

But was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations??

I looked at the Wedding Planner Bible - Sarah Haywood - in John Lewis. Its just like a big glossy folder with lots of pretty pictures. I was going to buy it for a friend who is marrying next year, but I decided it was far too expensive for what it is. I ended up giving a couple of books to the bride and groom to be about wedding speeches and readings.

If you want a useful gift then maybe a magazine subscription and a scrapbook for all the pictures to be stuck in?! I spent a fortune on magazines when I was planning our wedding and had a box file for all the bits of paper that I collected.

Snap! Two of my very good friends are marrying each other and I want to get them a special present, have spent all afternoon looking for wedding planners and have seen the one's you have links to, but I still don't know which is best!

If anyone has any recommendations I would be grateful!

i think my sister bought me the last one, and whilst its nice, and i'll definatly keep it as a keepsake, its not very practical if you are on a budget.

if you definatly want a book the confetti one is a little more practical, my best mate gave me one that is ceremoniously handed to each girlfriend when she gets engaged, there are five messages of best wishes from the girls gone before, and i'll be handing it to the next when i'm done which is really sweet.

Personally my ideal pressie would be a subscription to wedding ideas - plus it'll be cheap on your pocket too

I got the Antonia Swinson one out of the library, it's very pretty. Not sure I'd want to own it but I think if I had been given it as a gift that would be different.
Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Im doing my notes on my folder and then write it neatly in this book as a keepsake - some may say its sad but I want something to look back on in a few years and also for £2 what harm is it going to cause lol

Hope you like the item as much as I do - delivery is also fast!! within 2 days I received it
