What is this??

I have been receiving emails from different "Companies" (notably one called "Honda Handle AG") offering (!) the lucrative position of "manager" working from home, job that involves accepting money transfers from "a very profitable Co.", reporting them and transfering them through Western Union or something similar.... obviously this is a scam. But what sort of scam? To get your banking details or to launder money? In any case, how can these people be reported? I apologize if this subject has been dealt with elsewhere. The search engine gives me an error page every time I try.

I get the Honda one all the time. It goes straight into my junk folder for immediate deletion!
I have no idea how you report them. The thing with spam is that it is very hard to monitor and stop. It is up to the email receiving public to not read them and to dump them straight away.0 -
I use a program called Mailwasher to check my emails before downloading them. It gives you the option to bounce junk emails back to sender and has certainly cut down on my spam. You may also find your ISP has some sort of configurable spam setting to stop you receiving recurring spam:j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton£100 banked Mar 06V-Free : 4 weeks0

. You go and pay it into your account. Your employer tells you to pay the money over to them after deducting your commission. You say you are waiting for the cheque to clear in the foreign country. This gets repeated once or twice. Your employer then gets angry with you, saying they need the money right now and you'll lose your job if you don't hand it over. They offer to give you extra commission if you hurry up. So you (or someone naive enough to fall for it) take some of your own money and send it to the employer by Western Union, just to avoid all the hassle your employer is giving you. Later, the cheque bounces.
