First Trust Bank - Debit Card Limit?

Good Evening,
does anyone know if there is a limit on how much you can spend with a First Trust Debit Card per Transaction or per day?
I will buy a car next week, and intended to pay the whole lot by debit card. But my wife works in a Travel Agency, and she just told me that in her experience some Banks have limits how much can be spent by debit card per day.
Does anyone have any experience with this? First Tryst Customer Service is already closed, so I can't call them.
Regards,

I paid a large deposit for a car by debit card ( not first trust) and the car dealer had to ring to get authorisation. As long as money in your account and they can authorise it cannot see it being a problem.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

It'll either go through with no probs or you will have to ring the bank for authorisation. I sold cars and the majority of card transactions went through with no problem at all.0
