PPI Info
Hi All,
I have been readeing on here about claiming my ppi back, I have a few questions to ask.
1) I finished paying a £10,000 loan at the end of 2006. can I still claim?
2) I cannot remeber if they told me about ppi or just made me have it as I took the loan out in 2001. Will this matter?
3) Can I claim on Hire purchase.
Thanks
Ben

Hi Loftty,
Yes you can still claim on a ppi that is settled.
If you have any of the paperwork it may help, if you requested for a SAR which is a subject access request they must supply you with all the info they have on you, but they will only provide info going far back as 6 years.
You pay £10 cheque payment or postal order for this and they have 40 days to get back to you on this, post everything as recommended when you write to these companies by recorded post.
If its just the agreement you require, they may supply a copy of this free of charge or charge about a £1 for this.
You can reclaim on any finance credit insurance no matter what if you believe you were misold.
Check out the above reclaim £1,000 box, click on that box and ppi info will come up and a template to reclaim the ppi back, when checking out the info there is a list of reasons for mis selling, this may help you with your case, check it out and check out the template reclaim letter also on that site to help you out.
When you send the letter, they have 8 weeks to comply to this, hopefully you will be successful first time round, if not please post on these forums so that we can help you to the next step.
If you require further help and info here, please post on the actual ppi reclaiming - discussion thread.;)
Good luck
