Christmas Jobs for yr 11 student

Does anyone know who might employ a 16-year old for a Christmas job? He's in his final year at school, taking GSCEs in summer 09, but all the shops round here seem to need you to have finished year 11, not be in year 11.
Any ideas gratefully recieved!!

Royal Mail will employ 16+ if you're quick to get in now. Its only the few weeks for christmas.

there are so many rules and regulations for 16 year olds, hours of work etc.
althought he is 16 he is still in full time education. until probably June next year.

I think the rules and regs are posted on your local council website.

Hi, a number of my friends worked in cafes (mostly markets) when they were still in school, some still carried on though a-levels/uni cos they could choose hours. Not a brilliant wage but suppose better than doing nothing and gets then used to abit of gafting!
