Thank god for this site a big :kisses3: to you martin for all your help. I feel i'm one of the lucky ones i've gone from owing £52,000 to £0 in 5 years but you would think that would be it but you would be very wrong. Im scarred with 2 defaults one being removed in feb 09 for £207 which is no problem and the other by the very annoying Asset link!! for £6,500 this was got after having replacement windows with first national, a dispute with the window company left missed payments and finally a default with the bank which i was in dispute with, this was then handed to assett link who told me if i paid it in 5 monthly instalmants the default could then be removed. I paid 1 instalmant and they then without me knowing obtained a ccj!!! HOW FURIOUS WAS I:mad: i contacted asset link and they again assured me that if i paid the balance in full within 28 days not only would the ccj be removed but also the default. To date 2 years have passed and this hasn't been done and they are refusing to do it, which makes a mock of all ive achieved as i still pay 9.6% on my mortgage because of it. Id like to know although my credit file shows the default with asset link is it with them or first national and can i remove it legally as ive read that this can be done. Ive seen on this site people refer to CCA OC DCA when reffering to removing defaults can anybody tell me what these abbreviations mean.
