CCCS and DMP could ruin my dreams of dream job!

I am in the final processes of joining the police (for my sins!). I got a phone call the other day giving a possible start date. Received another phone call to say they have taken that date away from me as vetting have a querie about my application.

The deal is I am considering taking out a Debt management plan. Just to keep my finances in order and to be able to continue paying bills and a family. I have a bit of debt which is manageble. Not missed a payment or CCJs. Just thought the plan would free up some cash for myself and my missus who has just gone back to work after maternity leave. I have done months of looking in to it and it seems to be my only option to move forward with my finances and life. I sent an email to recruitment to let them know what i was intending to do and they forwarded it to vetting. Thought this was the best thing to do.

I would imagine that this is what they have pulled me up on. Proper gutted. Thought it was the best thing to do letting them know of my intentions but now it seems like I have just blown my chances at the last stage.

The big picture is my family and finances. If the police say thats its sorry but no, then so be it, but my family comes first and putting bread on the table and paying electrics bills has to be more important.
