How far ahead can you reserve an online shopping slot

Hi Hollydays,

With tesco you can normally book delivery slots three weeks in advance. Someone usually posts on the Shop but Don't Drop board when the Christmas slots are available.

As this is a shopping thread rather than Old Style I'll move your thread over to the Shop but Don't Drop board to see if you can get more replies.

I have just checked Tesco online and at the moment the latest date you can book a delivery slot for is Fri 21st Nov. HTH

Asda is a month or possibly 28 days.

Possibly too late for this year, but Ocado release christmas slots early to regular customers. I don't shop with them as frequently as I used to, but still got offered one this year and am booked for christmas eve. The service is amazing - last year they didn't have a joint of pork I had ordered and the driver stopped and bought one at Tesco on his way and it was given to me free of charge.

Do you have to do a shop and go thru the checkout tho to reserve a Christmas slot ?

Well that's what you normally have to do. You can alter the order at a later date though. So you can just put a few basics in your basket and then go back at a later date and do the proper order. Just make sure you don't forget and get charged for them delivering half a dozen items. That would be annoying!
