Thanks, FYP.
Amongst others on here, you've answered this question already, as I put it in a new thread "Legal ownership of car on HP".:D Sorry if I've confused you by repeating this question, but it felt that as the subject of this thread had been answered, my additional question was not being read. So I moved it. Really sorry for the duplication and confusion.
FYI I'm a self employed sole trader, and we've followed the advice on the other thread, put the car down as an asset and cross referenced "Tools of the trade" and "Motor Vehicles", and the payments into "Essential outgoings."
I think I was just getting a bit too pedantic and stressed about getting the forms wrong.
I don't think the courts still do "Hung, drawn and quartered" do they.:rotfl:
Thanks for your support!:beer:Debt free by 2025?0 -

That's even better that you are a sole trader because it is a business expense and really has to be deducted before your income because without that you would have no income. Leave your SOA as it is for the moment - this just becomes an extra bargaining tool for you to use with the OR. As an example, I had an office and that office and extra telephone line that both had to be paid for out of my income before anything else or I wouldn't have had a business to make any income. I hope I'm not confusing you at this late stage but your car is in effect the same as my office.
If your car for some reason is disallowed - come back for advice before you sign anything. I'm sure you'll be fine though. Do you have any accounts for your business? If not, again don't worry, but if you do your car and petrol for your driving school come before your income. (I feel like I've had too much coffee, sorry for the rambling!).
Good luck tomorrow!

I had no idea - Good luck to both of you tomorrow and enjoy the party.
As I said on someone else's thread this morning (hope it wasnt either of yours or I'll be repeating myself!) I was on this forum for over a year before I went BR and saw so many people terrified of the big day and they were reassured that the stress leading up to this point is by far the hardest part of the process and BR day is really simple. I had a wonderful night's sleep the night before and wasn't the slightest bit nervous because I believed that the people on here were telling the truth. Every single person came back to say it was simple and not the terrifying experience they had thought it would be. Come back tomorrow after your Jamiesons and prove me right.
