in Cutting tax
In August I purchased a number of shares in US companies through my Bank. I am not sure if I have to pay tax on this investment. If anyone could help that would be great!

You don't have to pay tax on the purchase of the shares but you will have to declare any dividends you receive. They will be classed as foreign income and you will be given credit for any tax deducted at source. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
