Printable Internet Coupons

Why do manufacturers put printable coupons on their sites to download if the store doesn't accept them? I've been to Tescos and they say they will not accept them. I know Asdas have said the same thing to me in the past. Does anyone get to use them and where are they accepted?

I have been told that Tesco don't accept internet coupons, but as the lady put through £8 worth of vouchers including a Joey, so I didn't mind too much.
Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j

My local Asda (Leicester - Oadby) will take internet coupons whereas in Tesco (Hamilton) it depends on the checkout assistant. Tesco's policy is internet coupons will only be accepted at the discretion of the store manager.
  • I gave up on internet coupons till I got a decent printer. Now I've never had a single Mum+1 coupon refused when printed on good low weight glossy paper.
if i had known then what i know now

I had two printed coupons accepted at the local tescos. Cashier was having a good old look, though!

  • i Work at tesco's and printed off loads of internet coupons from the discovery promotion, only prob is they dont come out at the with too good of a quality.

i mean the text isnt 100% clear, but once i convinced them i signed up online they accepted them must have around £15's worth of spices and jalapino peppers so far
  • I think it depends on whose till you go to. Today I handed in my net coupons no problem. However if a supervisor had been around I'm sure she would have refused them.
  • now is the best time to abuse the bigger supermarkets,

they have employed loads of temps and they don't care :D
  • Tried some Discovery ones at Tesco and they didnt scan and customer services would not accept them so as I had already paid for the packet mixes I am £'s down and wasted a sheeet of paper!
