  • Quite a few in our local co-op; not very round ones though.

(I'm hoping they'll be marked down tomorrow. My kids are too big now to bother about me carving them, but i do love pumpkin soup!!)

Only a few tiny ones left in Asda today. I got mine a week ago, as it was the same story last year, and we ended up not being able to get one.

  • I saw a news article that said that the pumkins hadn't fared very well this year with all the rain and not much sun so I guess it has made supply worse than usual.
  • Can you get hold of any little squashes etc? They look like mini pumpkins and are really effective when they are carved!

Me too, should have bought one last week when I saw them in Asda. Thought, 'no, I shall support my local Grocer'....but when I checked, they had none, so went back to Asda, and they all gone:o .

Oh, and I am interested in the Pumpkin Soup recipe too (will look for small squash:rolleyes: )

we've had this problem too, got 2 pumpkins on sat to take to alnwick gardens with us we carved them there and had a parade thought they'd last till today but one died on wed and the other was almost pumpkin soup byself this morning! tears all round went to asda, sainsburys, morrisons and none to be had about to give up after we'd been to local grocers who wanted £2.50 for a small wisned lumpy one, when we saw them reduced in spar £1.00 for 2 not that big but it stopped the tears, hope you had some sucess.
