  • £80 seems like it might be hard, but I have managed to really cut back by doing internet shopping (and then using some of the Tesco Coupons you can find on the 'shop but dont drop' boards), and really reducing what I spend - cutting out some luxuries and going down a brand. I used to spend over £100 every week, now its hardly ever over £75 and thats with two children in nappies too.

It can be done - if I can do it (used to be such a food snob!) then anyone can.

Why not look on the 'Payment a Day' thread, its a great motivator

    Good luck.

Looks like you could get Unlimited talk, 6 entertainment tv pack and upto 8 mg broadband for about £37 a month, saving you a fair bit on what you already pay out.

Your items may be crap, but you can't afford to replace them. How about putting the savings from changing phone/bb etc in an emergency pot ?

I think the key to spending less on shopping is down to PLANNING - meal plan, shopping list and bulk buys/cooking for freezing.
  • Thanks. The SKY package sounds good. And will watch my food shopping loads too. I love this site. Ppl are so helpful. Thanks guys!!:T
