    Bumping this up again.

Standard Life have now come back and said that upon reaching a normal retirement date from that point onwards an MVR will not apply to any funds held in their with profits fund. This is not how their fact sheet reads but it has been checked with their claims department who are insistent that this position is correct.

As all calls are recorded, I have a note of the time and date of the call and the name of the individual concerned so in the event of this not being correct, there is verbal evidence to support any complaint. I am also asking for written confirmation.

    Looks like a result.

But surely they will require you to reset a new NRD once the first one has passed and the MVR will be back again in the interim?

To test that the MVR has been lifted, ask them if you can transfer the money out of the WP fund into the cash fund on your NRD without the MVR applying.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

I've now got an up to date statement showing that the fund and transfer values are identical.
