I used a 6 free dvd rental code that I got with my copy of the computeractive mag. I registered yesterday, and added 20 dvds to my selection list. How long do they take to dispatch? It still says "awaiting allocation".
I chose the £9.99 package. Is this really unlimited? I know that you can only have 1 at home at a time, so in theory how many dvds could you rent?

In my experience it takes 1-2 days for the first dvd to be sent out and then it just depends how quick you return them. Screenselect seem to be very good with one day turn arounds so if you post something back to them on a Monday by Wednesday the next dvd will have arrived. Obviously you need to be aware of two factors:
a) The dvds you choose and how popular they are, which may mean getting second choices
b) The Christmas post may slow things up quite a bit for the next week or so
Apart from that you can rent as many as you like within the free period!0 -
I've moved your question over to Shop But Don't Drop.
Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0 -
I recently did this just for the free trial whilst recovering from surgery. Found them to be pretty good, except had one faulty dvd which I was disappointed was included as one of my free 6. Have cancelled for now.0

I was with 365DVD and they got taken over by Screenselect. I find them very slow. If I return a dvd on say, Monday it shows 'awaiting allocation' all day tuesday and it will probably be sent some time on Wednesday but rarely arrives back with me until Friday. I think they slow everything down, miss the evening post etc to restrict the number of DVD's you can have. I can compare them directly with 365DVD - if you sent one on Monday they got it on Tuesday- Sent a replacement on Tuesday and you got it on Wednesday.
Perhaps they were too good and that's why they were taken over!!I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -

I just had to return a dvd as it had lots of scratches on it and wouldn't play.
