Now I have started the bankruptcy route, feel completed unprepared.
When I rang the court yesterday she said she would send me an enforcement pack, is that my forms that I complete? She told me to bring it with me on the day of the BR. When I go will I be dealt with that day and declared bankrupt.
I have printed some forms off from the court website, in the box it says basically when did you feel you were in debt, how do I answer that when I have felt in debt for many years, too scared to ask for help.
How do I cope with creditors ringing me and letters, I sent them a holding letter from CAB asking them to put a hold on things until I have worked with CAB how much I can give. I know myself that I have no surplus money to give them even a £1, when my wages technically covers half the mortgage.
CAB sent me a letter yesterday, I have been waiting for an appointment, it was asking for last months wage slips or bank statements to see if I would be covered under the scheme of the Legal Services Commission Contract as the advice from the bureau is funded. They want them before they give me an appointment with a debt counsellor to work out payments to the creditors.I received this letter after I had booked my appointment with the court. I know these people are here to help but when you get to end there is no time left to drag things out, it took a week to get this letter, why not ask me last week when I went into the drop in centre at CAB, I had my bank statements with me they could have seen.
Panicking now.

Hi try not to panic it's really not that bad Me and my parnter both went BRon the 20th of nov and like you I was aprehensive of what to expect.I was getting phone calls off creditors asking me to make payments and I just told them I would sort it at the end of the month. The court was fine got in at half 9 and took the fees to the desk then they tell you to take a seat ih the waiting room.We got in there about twenty to 10 and got a coffee by this time my legs were shaking and I was starting to feel sick with worry.Wegot called into court at 10.25 and sat down there was just the judge and us in the room.He read out what how much unsecured and debt secured on the house we owed and then he asked if we had taken professional advice to which I replied yes and he asked from who and what did they suggest. Then he asked did we understand the implications of what we were doing by going BR to which I said yes and then he said you are BR as of 10.32 and you 10.33 he was ever so nice and I don't know what I was worrying about it was fine Iam just waiting now for my first call with the OR on Monday morning.0

If you are doing the on-line forms,i would ring the court back and ask how many copies of your SOA they need. Some you have to take 3 copies(one for you,the court and the OR)others you take one copy and they photocopy it for you.Thats your starting point. Take one step at a time. I know lots of questions are crowding your mind at the moment but just do a little bit of the forms at a time. They are/can be mind boggling and the more stressed and panicky you get the harder it will be to think straight.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Honest, Never, it will be fine, the court are very nice, and if you feel you want to discuss fruther with the CAB before going br, you could simply ring the court and explain, and ask for another appointment.
Regarding phone calls, either don't answer the call, or get the supplier to change your number. You can always go 1471 and if it is someone you want to speak to, call them back. Disconnect answer machine if you have one. Once you have gone br, there is nothing further they can do.
All the very best, and keep posting here.Bankrupt 11th June 2008
