With American interest rates now slashed to 1%, can i get a mortgage at American rates ????

Are there any pitfalls etc etc

    Exchange rates might put a dampener on your idea.

    You would be hard pushed to find an american lender that would mortgage you over here anway.

    One big pitfall is that US mortgage rates are nowhere near 1% (I posted the ING US rate on another thread - currently 5.46%).
