Hi

Just an update. I doubt anyone will remember me, I used to post as this name and PhilWales - I posted up pics of me and my kid when he was born last year too...

Anyway, this year I have paid off £6,000 of my debt!!!!!

I've still got a long way to go but I am so happy you wouldn't believe!!!

I just turned 22 and I aim to be completely debt free by 25, I am glad with the way society is now that I got in debt young, I am on my way out, with a few more payrises it will be even sooner.. After 25 I will not be in debt again!

did you use a company to help you arrange payment plans or anything or just going to sort it out yourself?
  • Thanks everyone. If it wasn't for all the great help I got last year on here I wouldn't be anywhere nearer it at all.

I've still got a few mod cons I need to cut out now, like sky, and maybe reduce my broadband as my outgoings are still way over my income, if it wasn't for overtime.

This year I dont think I'll make it without tightening the belt buckle even further, including a complete overhaul of how we shop for food, how much driving around we do and all other types of things, I will try and keep this thread going and I'll probably be around a lot more this year as things aren't going to be easy!

    Cheers,

    Phil
