  • not sure if to save for this, no local somerfield to collect from so was buying paper especially (got 3 so far) and was going to post of at £5.99. Does it still make them a good buy as places like the book people are so cheap for books anyway?

    It makes them 50p each - I think that's pretty good even by The Works / Home Bargains / Book People prices. :)

    27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer received 
    05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on purchase. Mortgage offer amended
    08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
    26/02/21: Partner's sale contract signed
    10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
    16/03/21: My sale contract signed
    28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
    11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.

  • my local somerfield has books left over everyday so now they let you take yur old token and get the old books. so if anyone near me and want to get theres instead of sending them off , my local is laindon

    I sent postal orders - is there any way I can check if they have been cashed, or claim the money back if they aren't?

    Received our books on Thursday so they are definitely on the way. Well worth the £5.99 p&p too. Really pleased with them.
