got our BR date

Options
Got our date for BR nov 27th 9.30am. i feel sick at the thought.
The woman i spoke to stressed that we be fully aware of what we are doing.
We think we know all we need to know about the implications and such but if anyone can give us more info on what to expect and things we should know that would be great. All my research has gone from my mind...im blank .....feel a lil like a school girl going for a test.:o

    I felt the same too..
TBH My morning at court was fine.. it was really busy and noone paid me any attention. The clerk that went thru the forms with me was fine, and the judge was fine too, just told me to go see the OR "To explain how I got myself in this mess"...
Am still waiting my OR appointment though so cannot comment on that bit I think I am more worried about that than the actual court date.
I think as long as you do understand the implications then it shoudl be fine!
Good Luck.. Have you started your forms yet?

yeah we have nearly finished...just some fine tunning to be done.

And yes as for the implications....we know we cant obtain further credit over 500 without informining them that we are BR.....but as for that i dont give a toss....credit is what got us into this mess and i dont ever want to end up here again.
I know we can only have a basic bank account...fine by me. co op seems to be the one most mentioned on here.
I know about IPA'S and that you are usually discharged after a yr but its on your record for 5 or more.....but again...im gonna b a saver for the first time in my life.

i know the implications as to jobs to ...im loosing mine....finishing the 10th nov.

Anything else anyone can cluee up on ...i know theres more and that theres a lil more in my head than this but im a bit musddled at the momment:o

    HI Ems.

Hope things go well for you on the day. Lots of people on here seem to have a good experience even though it is something that is stressful so try not to worry too much and stay positive.

Am I right in thinking you work for a bank? You see, I do too. And I am considering bankruptcy. I am sorry if I am touching what is a sore point for you but I just wondered if you would mind telling me if they are making you unemployed because you handle cash? I do as a cashier.

I totally understand if you don't want to tell me about it and if so I apologise for asking. :o

    Thanks, Donna.
