Ok that was a big mess.

I phoned my order in to a nice lady who said she couldn't find the 30% code I gave her but she did have a 20% one and said the other 10% would be commission on payments. What a load of baloney I thought but 20% will do just fine. Goes through the order codes fine confirming each item is in stock but she never said the prices so I kept having to ask her for them. We then go through card details but she doesn't give me the full amount coming off my card so I ask her to confirm the full amount. Out comes the calculator and she taps away adding them up and gives me a price with no discount so I ask her what about the discount? "No discount on sale items". Ok cancel order but noooo she's already put it through and she can't cancel it! GRRRR. So, I've got a bunch of stuff coming to the door I have to refuse.

All's well that ends well though. I nicked my Dad's credit card and ran through an order on the net in his name. No problem!

I phoned up and managed to put the 30% code through. I also have a CO number - dont know if that made a difference or if by now they've cracked on that loads of people are trying to use codes on sale stuff.


Still 65% is cheap - dont you want to keep any of it? ???

Thanks Iain, I ordered one, the price at £83 isnt much less than Amazon were charging (£116) when they had them. They are old stock now but with the extra 30% code it brought it down to £58:10 which makes it a right result if it goes through.

Oh and I do really have a sense of humour ;D

Placed my order for 2 Fuji s3000 digital cameras and a sony turntable, went through ok and got the email. Then I read earlier posts and got worried that they might actually be out of stock. Called cust services but she said the web orders don't show up on their computer system straight away so she couldn't tell me whether the items were in stock but she said that if the website has them as showing in stock then they will be... hmmm...

I paid on my CC, so I'll be able to check if they take payment,via online banking. Just hope the Sony Digital camera was available when I ordered it...mega brownie points on Christmas day if this comes off, especially if all I get is the 99p Market stall aftershave & socks
