Littlewood's go over the credit limit?

Hi all 1st post i made so was not to sure where to put this.
On Littlewood's i have seen a TV i want to purchase but i am like £40 over my limit if i purchase it.
Now i was wondering would i still be able to order this TV and go over my credit limit and not get charged and still receive the TV or will i get charged for going over my limit?
Or would it be best wait till i pay a little bit off my limit before i purchase it but please note that the TV is on sale atm so holding back on the order could result in me not getting the TV.
Not sure on how it work's and was hoping someone has had a previous experience with this situation.
Well thank's for reading and i appreciate any help
.
Thank's Ron.

If you haven't got the money to buy it, then you should be asking yourself "Do I really need it"Wha's like us - damn few, an' they're a' deid

I can afford the payments that's not the problem to be fair the problem being is this purchase would put my littlewood's account into 30-40 pound over my credit limit they gave me and me getting charged for going over my limit.
If it is not going to charge me then i will place the order , otherwise i have 2 option's either wait till my credit limit is at the right amount after a few payment's or pay the payment now to bring my account to the right amount so i can make the order.
So basically the question i need to know is will i be charged for going over my credit limit littlewood's catalogue have set.

i dont think they allow you to go over you credit limit i think if you order and it goes over they cancel it, you could just pay the 40 quid and then order or try using a discount code there is a 10 % one on the discount board that would knock it down xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Thank's for your reply i thanked you for it.
Yeah i wasn't to sure if they actually let you go over the limit i have already added that voucher that you was on about.
Bring's the TV down to £450 so i save £50.
More than likely i will just pay the £40 and the order the TV i am after.

Not sure you will want to hear this but if you are near your max on a Littlewoods account you are probably being charged a horrendous interest rate (and Payment Protection too).
Generally speaking, there are much better ways to borrow money.
If your credit rating is so poor that you cannot see a better alternative way to purchase then I think you really need to question whether you need to buy a £500 TV.
However, if you really feel the need and you have been a good payer to Littlewoods why not try a phone call?
Don’t deliberately try to exceed your credit limit. That will be bounced. Ask if they are prepared to increase your credit limit because you want the particular item.
If you have a clean record with them there‘s a very good chance they will accommodate you and you will get your new TV.
However, make no mistake. They probably regard you as a reliable mug.0 -
I only have a £550 credit limit with the catalogue as i have only had it say 6 month's never missed a payment my credit limit was 300 when it first started.
The intrest rate's are 0 as long as you pay over 20 or 52 week's so i pay 0 intrest on all my item's granted they do cost a tad more than they would in the shop's but the reason behind that is i can get the item and spread the cost.
Normally i only grab the bargain's that are in sale or on a good price as noramlly i won't bother the TV i have seen is in the sale and is quite a bargain but i aint got a huge credit limit which is holding me back.
Also the TV i will be getting is 0 intrest over 104 week's so i see it quite a deal where i can pay a small sum of money over 2 year's for a very nice TV.
But thank's for your input all is appreciated...
Ron

I think the poster was getting mixed up with a store card! As opposed to catalogue account.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0
