well, we've been with bulldog for a whopping 2 months and i hate them already
after a major fiasco with me spending an entire day and £10 of my own money using an internet cafe to email and fax them this that and the other pieces of paper to prove that i signed a contract stating i got a free modem (oh and them taking 2 weeks of my free month to get it to me) and then them now trying to charge me line rental when i was supposed to get 6 months free line rental i'm calling it quits. thank goodness they have a 30 day rolling contract
so, i need a very good service and unfortunately it has to be asdl because the university won't allow us to install any cables etc
so here's our useage details and needs
Phone
barely use it. most calls are too husbands mobile so a plan that offers a discount to one or two mobile numbers would be ideal.
would prefer a very low or free line rental fee as it is so infrequently used anyway
not bothered about overseas calls either, i can get those cheap through a variety of programs that stll owe me credit
Broadband
MUST allow networking. dh and i want to setup our network so we'll be sharing a connection sometimes, i work from home, dh is doing a very intensive MSC course and he will need to use the proxy settings to get to the uni's database this made our old computer very slow so we need a decent connection
would prefer at least 4meg connection but may consider 2
must have at least reliable customer service record
we're really needing to economise so the cheaper the better!
we don't download much music etc though i do have a few websites and ftp stuff nearly every day but we don't use a huge amount... would prefer unlimited useage or a very high cap because i work from home so i'm on the computer at least 6 hours per day
again, MUST be ASDL if it's tied in with a phone company than that's good, they'll probably give us a better deal
so, am i asking the earth here? ideally i'd like to spend less than £35 a month for both phone and broadband... is this doable?

im looking to change mine too.
i would like cable but unfortunately dont have it in my area yet.
im with BT and their prices are getting stupid.i never use the phones for calls atall.just for my broadband connection and the bill is always around £150 just for broadband thats alot of money!
would love to get rid of BT completely,so i dont have to pay their line rental etc but i also need a provider where there isnt set download limits etc0 -
Just moved to PlusNet very smooth - got 2mb broadband with no limits for £14.99
Happy to give you a recommend code BUT you may find your tied to Bulldog for a year. Most initials contracts are for 1 year
I would check
Phone i went to First Telecom and their price match account
