I have a 5 year fixed rate that expires next year.
Can someone advise how long before it expires is it possible to apply for and secure another fixed rate with my existing provider or someone else ?
Just starting to think about.....when i need to start thinking about it
if you know what i mean.

Nationwide is 3 months prior I think but other lenders can let you sort out a deal up to 6 months in advance.0

My fix rate finishes Jan 09 don't know what to do - should I go fixed again or tracker? any thoughts0

I have always had fixed but If it were me right now i would go tracker given all indications seem to point to lower rates next year.0

Short term tracker or longer term fix.
Disclaimer: interest rates will do what the hell they like over the next few years and nobody has been able to accurately predict them 6 months ahead let alone 10 years ahead!0
