Replacement battery for Zen Creative

The battery has never worked on this - a friend bought it back from the US for me - and I have lost the receipt (typical!) Because I am not 100% that this is a battery problem I want to try and get a cheaper (but decent) alternative. It's a 3.6v lithium ion - anyone got any suggestions? (Just off to do a search but back soooooon.)
