New Zealand online shopping websites

Hi,

I hope this is the right forum for this question!
does anyone know of a good company to buy jewellery from online to deliver to a friend in new zealand? I have had a little google but without knowing the country well it is hard to recognise a good quality site from a tacky one. We'd like to buy this way to save on postage costs but also because of the risk of sending expensive items.

Best bet would be to buy from NZ direct and that would save postage. Find a decent looking .co.nz company website and email them 1st. If you get a half sensible reply then you should be safe using them, but use a credit card or paypal if possible so it can be refunded if there are any issues.

Yep that's what I meant, I just wondered if anyone could recommend a particular nz website that is good quality

Emily are you wanting a shop that is actually in NZ or are you wanting one that internationally delivers??? I may be able to give you some help - just ask ....

lol ok I misread the thread lol....if you want to purchase direct from a NZ site then I would start with the yellow pages www.yellow.co.nz and put in the search you are after....just click New Zealand for the area ..... if its jewellery you are after then also check out some of the arts and craft shops. Also are you after anything in particular - ie traditional Maori jewellery or something else......

Thanks. I've tried searching nz google but will look at yellow pages as well. I think we're looking for a necklace, possibly a locket.

Cant help with websites, but would recommend you use the Nationwide credit or debit card if you have one as you will not get charged currency conversation costs.
(this applies to anyone purchasing from any overseas websites)

Walker & Hall is one of the few stores to offer delivery in New Zealand. It has stores around the country & then at least if there's a problem your friend can take it back to the shop.

And yes try & buy with a Nationwide card so you don't get any fees.

You can always give Walker & Hall a call to make sure you're happy with them anyway.

Otherwise yes you could use Ferrit.co.nz which is one of the main online shopping sites

I come across a couple of Great online Store in New Zealand which I've used successfully and they delivered quickly .. They do have Jewellrey but lots of other stuff too .. They are linked so once youve signed up to one you can shop on both .. one is called 735pm.com and the other one is called flop.co.nz ..
