Reposession Forms

Options
Hi everyone,
We have finally got round to ringing Mortgage Express this week to tell them we have left our property and OH has been made bankrupt. The guy on the phone was quite insistent that we have to fill in the forms that they send us for the reposession to go ahead, having read about this in other posts OH told them that we just wanted to post the keys back to them...The guy on the phone got really snotty and said no you have to do this, started to talk to hubby like a naughty toddler....hubby got cross and told him to bog off he didnt have to do anything he is bankrupt and put phone down.
Anyway we have since recieved the forms, it asks when are we planning on sending the keys back? Can we confirm we have abandoned the property and agree to give them voluntary reposession of the property and we will not be released from financial obligations under the mortgage....am gathering we do not want to be filling in these forms and sending them back? Please can someone just confirm I was correct in thinking this :)
Thanks Stroppy x

Oh it also says....'I recommend you take legal advise before you leave this property as your legal rights may be affected'and 'It is important you are aware any interest will continue to be added to your mortgage debt until your property is sold and you will have to pay any legal fees'
We told them on the phone we had already left and were bankrupt!
    Bit confused!

No, you do not want to sign those forms, if you do your OH is accepting that he is still liable for any shortfall.

Is the mortgage in both your names? If so they can and will chase you for the whole shortfall if there is one.
