A young friend of mine is planning her wedding for July next year and is shocked at how much invitations cost- does anyone know of any good /cheap websites or shops?

I have just paid £20.00 using a 25% off online code for 40 invitations on Truprint website. Including enevelopes!
They are personlised with a picture of us on the front and you can word it exactly as you'd like.
We used 'stationary' paper rather than the photo paper so they didn't feel cheap!0 -
I bought mine from Birthdays- hand made ones 6 for £3 instead of £6.50. They don't seem to have them out as I had to ask for them to be brought from the stock room.0

what about your friend trying to make her own
thats what I am doing, and its sooooo much cheaper than buying. You can get all the little bits and bobs on ebay, and I just googled wedding invites for inspiration

im also making my own - ive made a template from copying things i liked on wedding stationery websites and picture art on word, and am just going to buy blank cards from a craft or stationery shop to print them on to!! (hoping to use the work printer and save a few more pennies haha!!
)
its so eay to play about on word or powerpoint, and come up with something that will be totally unique.
someone had a good idea on one of the other threads (sorry, i cant remember who!) about getting postcards on honeymoon and using them for thank you cards - i shall be doing this!! :T

Got ours from WHSmith, really nice ones.
Most people will look at it once and that's it.0 -
Tesco regularly have wedding invites in their clearance section. Definitely worth looking at. You could also look at vistaprint, there are plenty of offers every week and you can upload your own image or use a stock image and design your own invites. The paper quality is very good (we used them for our thank you cards).“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
