yesm but i called up and paid over the phone cbecause post BR there wasnt enough time to set the DD up,
also,
if the account is still open, a mobile phone tarrif im defaulting on will come out too,
argh.
although, when i tried to log into the online banking, it said @please call this number urgently@ and refused to let me log in, so i guess theyve been informed..
we'll see i supose, one day at a time n all tha t jazz :S0 -
That's no so bad then, just means they've had 2 payments this month, next month you can use the payment money to pay back Barclays and set up the DD for the month after that.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Hhmm...
This thread has started to make me worry now!
I had several DDs on my account which were not cancelled immediately as the bank and companies involved did not update their records quickly enough. Obviously these DDs were refused and the bank has charged for these and have also added charges for going over the overdraft limit.
I did check with the bank last week and they have confirmed that all DDs and SOs have now been cancelled, but obviously charges have been added in the meantime.
Am I therefore liable for all these charges?0 -
No - dont worry at all. The bank account was included in your BR and if the bank is slow to close then its not your problem. Its nothing to do with you anymore. Just send all demands back to the OR or the bank themselves.
The bank could claim back the DDs if they wanted to as they were paid in error. If they don't, well tough luck.
And as the account is in your BR and charges are illegal anyway, it give you double reason to tell them to bog off!0
