Probably a very silly self-assessment question

Hey,

I know this is probably a stupid question to ask but I just want to be absolutely sure. I made a mistake while filling out my self-assessment form that was sent to me. I am able to just download and print out the main (and any additional forms) from the HMRC website and send those, right? Or should I have asked them to send me a new form?

Yes you can download forms from HMRC website. They say you can use them if you have lost your return or made a mistake. I've used the downloaded main form and supplementary pages for my husband as despite writing and telephoning them, they still failed to send one out.

You could register to complete your self assessment on-line which is much easier than doing it on paper and means if you make a mistake, you can quickly change it before you finally submit it.

Yeah but they take forever and a day to get around to sorting it out online. I did mine back in Septemebr and they haven't acknowledged it. When I phoned up they just said it hadn't come through yet and would send me out a paper one to complete instead
