Anyone had the same phone call?

Just had a phone call from a company in Bournemouth ( couldn't understand the name ) saying that I've done a survey for them last year (?) and they want to send me a hamper of chocolate and flowers to thank me. They wanted to check my personal details first. When I asked again what survey it was and how they got my number, he just started to repeat my landline number. I said I wouldn't give out more details on the phone, so he ended the call. It was an 075 mobile number. It didn't sound very genuine.
Is it a scam or have I just turned down a nice surprise???
