Tesco £10 of £30 spend

Um, I inadvertently did this, some time ago, by trying to join the Tesco Baby Club a second time, in my daughter's name. She's a bit young to be a mum, (well 14 actually, so let's not tempt fate too much), but I have used the card, and I do get 2 lots of money-off coupons sent out, even though I have since linked the card to my original one so I can use all the money off and extra points vouchers easily, with the one card.
The person with the name on the second card has to phone up Tesco Careline, or whatever it's called, and ask to have their card linked to whoever's, giving both card numbers, and Bob's your uncle.
We're 'neither of us' actually great Tescos shoppers, and both got £5.00 off vouchers, which in fact I used in Asda, which is a bit cheaper, and I could use them both on the same shop.
But Tescos' going-out-of-date reductions are better, and much better quality, so I do still go there fairly often, but not for my main shop, just an opportunist drop-in, and to make sure I use all the extra points coupons. I get petrol whenever I'm there too, as it's usually pretty cheap, plus you get points.
What a tart! ::)A penny saved is a penny gained0 -
So hang on let me get this straight, will Tesco accept Sainsburys vouchers as well? How come?
I missed out on my Tesco vouchers but my neighbour got 30% off his shopping.
Not bad at all especially with Christmas coming.0 -
And the moral of the story is:
This is a Good Time to get one's name on some LISTS!
Maybe, anyway.0 -
My local (large) Tesco have signs everywhere saying that they will not accept vouchers unless you purchase the product however my other (small) local Tesco still accept vouchers off your shopping.
When I was in asda today there was a big pre-printed banner near the petrol station as I left saying that Asda accepts Tesco vuochers - always forget my vouchers when I go to asda - doh!
HTH!

Sent to me when I queried the use of coupons:
For your information:
Any coupons, which display the Tesco logo, are Tesco specific. We only
accept these if the products referred to on the coupons are purchased.
This is because we negotiate savings with our suppliers on the
condition that these actual products will be purchased.
With regard to coupons from brand name manufacturers, we are happy to
accept one, even if you have not purchased the product. However, the
coupon must be in date and Tesco must sell the item. If you present more
than one identical coupon, then you must purchase the same number of
products.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain our policy.
If you have any further queries do not hesitate to contact us at
customer.service@tesco.co.uk .
