frightened of losing my house

i am currently really struggling to keep up my payments on my mortgage. i have fallen in arrears by £250. i had arranged to pay ex £50 a month to pay these but recieved a letter saying they were charging me £50 each month to do this.my mortgage is with gmac. my next mort payment due at the end of this week and i really cant afford it all. i have split with my partner who used to help me with my payments even though he didnt live with me.am i going to lose my house. my mort lenders dont seem very helpful because they keep asking for amounts i cant pay

  • Hi gill, very sorry to hear of your troubles. Gmac are really not the best to deal with and i think you really need some specialist advice on this one. If memory serves, then they are an American based company specialising in self cert mortgages and they will be having flak at the moment themselves. Either repost this on the mortgage board for further advice, but i really would be going to citizens advice ASAP.
