Short term second job

I have two jobs one working F/T in an office for £28003 and one as a canvasser for City of Westminster council. The job spans 7 weeks but I will be paid in one lump sum of roughly £400-£500 before tax in December. I was wondering how the tax/NI and SLC stuff would work out with this and if I would be charged the higher tax bracket for anything taking me over the monthly limit?

You are a basic rate taxpayer, and tax will be deducted at the basic rate from this money, so you will have paid the correct amount of tax.
