Hope everything sorts out for you soon - it does all seem to happen at once doesn't it?!

Btw, love your diary - you're such a natural writer!
  • Hi and thanks SC01 :)

Morning everyone. Ste and I had a chat last night, and have both decided that we're drawing a line from here on in and are now moving on, without holding out expecting us to get back together. It's not fair on us and not fair on the girls. So we're going to concentrate on being friends now and move on.

Today I have been changing the bills' bank details over. Have sorted out my Egg card, pet insurance and tiscali (phone, broadband line rental). Have to write letters to change the account name for scottish power (gas and electric), tv licence and tiscali. Have to call back after the 7th to change the water DD bank details. Spent 20 minutes in a queue to get through to orange but gave up.. and have lost my house insurance details. What a muppet. Also sorted out my self employed NI contributions which I'd had a bill for.

Getting there slowly. Have a list of documents I need to clobber together to send off to the housing benefit people, but managed to find a couple of bits already like my tenancy agreement and rent statement...

Oh god my brain is turning to total mush today.... _pale_

It's funny how similar your situation is to mine. It's so hard having 'that' conversation, because you are letting go of a long term relationship, and that's a very scary thing to do. And also, you don't want to cause pain to someone you have loved.

But I think once you have both accepted it's over, you can start the long process of healing and building new lives for yourselves.

    That's what I'm hoping, anyway. :o

Ditto Jinky...one step at a time...it can all seem mental when things like this happen and your brain can feel all over the place :( You are doing amazingly well but then you are an amazing woman if you don't mind me saying! :)

Good luck with all your paperwork, you seem to be getting on top of everything! I still have things to sort out and I split from my ex over 2 years ago! Just the pet insurance really...it's in his name but comes from my bank account and as he is not allowed to contact me, I hope that when I write to the pet insurance peeps they will simply change the name on the account without too much agro :( If not I will go elsewhere! He was such a major control freak and wanted his name on everything...it was my cat for gawds sake! Anyway nuff said about that! And relax! :)

  • Evening. Urgh, what a busy day. Have done so much today, changing bank details and going through paperwork... my list of things still to do is as follows..

    find child benefit award letter
wait for tax credits award letter to come through. (both to go to housing benefit)
Send off documents to housing benefit people
    Send signed OU forms.
Send letters requesting change of name to tv lincence people and tiscali.
Call orange and change bank details
Find house insurance details and call up to change bank details
Call up water company and change bank details after 7th nov
TV licence bank details once name is changed.

not too much to do at all........ *rolls eyes*

  • I never thought I'd be happy to say I'm going to the dentist this morning.. Oh well. I've been so paranoid and self concious about my tooth I just can't wait to get it fixed. *sigh* My appointment is at 10.20... not soon enough if you ask me!

Had a bad night with the girls last night. Ash was freaking out because of the fireworks, and KK decided to cover herself and her bed in sick... niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice... She's fine now so thinking she might have been worried about the fireworks. The cat was in and causing chaos as well, attacking me at all hours of the night and generally being a pain in the a*s. lol All in all an eventful evening...

Hope everyone is well.. personally I can't wait for the weekend.. has been seriously stressful this week... again...lol!
