Barclaycard -would I be pushing my luck ??

I am in the process of getting my debts under control and thanks to reclaiming over £9000 in credit card charges and paying more than I had been doing, I have reduced my debts to just £3000, which is with Barclaycard (all other debts and cards cleared)
I have read a few articles on offering "one off" payments to clear debts in full (?? Full & Final Settlement). In January, I will be in a position to pay off about £1500 to Barclaycard - is it worth me going down the potential F and F route. The account has a default on it, but is still with Barclaycard ie not a DCA.
Anyone tried this option ? What would be a reasonable offer on a debt of £3000, also would I be taking the **** as Ihave already claimed back £700 in CC charges from BCard
Thanks for any advice

Hi
Worth a try with them, although I did find I got better offers when the debts were sold on to DCA's - 45% and 55% but I have just negotiated 30% with another DCA but waiting for written confirmation until I pay them.
However, in this current economic climate, they may accept it as it is about 50% of the debt but expect some to'ing and fro'ing.
Good luck.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014
