Kids Funkeys toys

My daughter wanted one of the starter kits for Christmas after seeing it in the woolies Christmas book at £21.99 ( page 106 Christmas book) I managed to find them at Firebox for only £14.99. Not sure what they really do but have some good reviews, the saving is pretty good though.

NO! Don't do it!!! These are probably the worst toys my son has ever received. Half the time they don't work and you have to spend £££'s to actually get enough 'characters' to be able to play the game. It's very limited with just the standard starter pack and is totally not worth it. Sorry!!

I have also seen these being sold off cheap in Tesco and somewhere else, but I can't think where? Maybe online.... somewhere like thetoyshop.com?

But whatever, I would defo not reccommend!

Not recommended by me either, I'm afraid. We got the starter kit and an extra one last Christmas - each extra funkey opens up another part of the site. To be honest, you are only getting something that is pretty much available free on the web anyway. It kind of taps into that urge to collect and 'unlock' things that kids have.

They were selling off the little extra ones for around £2 at Tesco recently. Ours worked fine, but they quickly got bored with it.

They would rather play free things like Club Penguin and Puzzle Pirates:

    I've been Money Tipped!
The starter kit is only £4.99 in the Argos sale (was £19.93).

I got my DS a starter set for £4.99 and some extra funkeys in play.com sale. He's played them a couple of times and says they dont have much to do. So sorry another vote against them, they are not as great as they sound in the advertising. :(
  • Another 'No, don't do it!' vote from me.

I bought two starter sets (one for each boy-child) last Christmas and they have hardly been used at all. Rubbish site, rubbish 'games' and expensive add-ons.

My older three (13, 11 and 7) all prefer Club Penguin.
