Does anybody know of or have experience of Bio Resonance Therapy especially on eczema?
I could really use your help in trying to find more about this and also a place near Leeds ie Manchester etc but would be willing to travel.
Hope someone on MSE can help me.
TIA

Here are a couple of abstracts from pubmed
Clarity of language is an essential element for effective communication. Using the example of bioresonance therapy, this article demonstrates how pseudo-scientific language can be used to cloud important issues. This can be seen as an attempt to present nonsense as science. Because this misleads patients and can thus endanger their health, we should find ways of minimizing this problem.
There is little or no scientific rationale for these methods. Results are not reproducible when subject to rigorous testing and do not correlate with clinical evidence of allergy. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

The best place to ask about eczema might be the National Eczema Society. Although I have to say I have no recollection of Bioresonance therapy being mentioned in 20 years of reading their publication Exchange. Of course it could just be my memory ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

I had a couple of further general thoughts about the management of eczema, both of which are regularly repeated in Exchange. One is that there is invariably dry skin, so you need to moisturise your skin well, even if the eczema isn't being troublesome. Of course finding a moisturiser which suits you isn't always trivial, and then after a while you may find it no longer suits you.
But the other is that behaviour management can be very helpful. Your skin itches, so you scratch it - who can argue with that? But the scratching a) damages already delicate skin and b) can become a habit, and a very destructive one at that. Telling people (especially young children!) not to scratch isn't very helpful, but if the person can 'learn' not to scratch then their skin can improve radically. Techniques to help with not scratching include learning to stroke your skin to relieve the itch, and the obvious things like avoiding irritants and getting too hot (although these are counsels of perfection!)
Obviously consulting the GP is essential, especially if there's any sign of infection. But getting advice and support from the National Eczema Society can also be very useful, because if you're worried, eg about the long-term use of whatever's been prescribed, they can help you with the 'cost-benefit analysis', AND give you other ideas to explore with the GP or eczema specialist.
And you'll know you're not alone!Signature removed for peace of mind0
