Heating Oil

I'm in Moray and phoned four firms this morning for a 900 ltr quote and the best was £403.14 inc vat (42.66 p/l)
I thought it might be cheaper given how the price of oil is dropping so much.
Is it still high because sterling has dropped against the dollar or because the oil price drops haven't filtered through yet?

I've no idea about the why the price of heating oil is so high but I remember reading about this group in the P&J last month and it may be of interest to you
Energy buying group
They are trying to set up co-operative buying groups to get cheaper heating oil. At the moment they are only taking expressions of interest but it may be worth looking out for0 -
