how to store tuna?

i have been given a catering size tin of tuna fish and am planning a tuna pasta bake tomorrow night with tuna mayonnaise sandwiches the day after but what do i do with it then i cant feed the family tuna sandwiches all week so any suggestions on how to store the rest of the tin?

    Why not try freezing it in small portions - well drained and as much air excluded as possible. If it's a case of freeze it or chuck it - it has to be worth a go. You could try a portion after a day or so in the freezer to see how it comes out.

  • You could make a couple of things with tuna in it - say a pasta bake, or tuna canelloni, that kind of thing, and then freeze it like that. Tuna canelloni definitely freezes well as I've done that myself.

    Tuna bake

    Tuna pasta and sweetcorn (nice hot + cold)
    tuna mayo sandwhiches
    Tuna and cucumber baggetts with some cheese
    Tuna bagels lol

    Then the rest u can freeze , or is there a neighbor who will benifit from it? family members or friends who pop round?
