I can't possibly catch up on this thread!

My parents, sister, BIL and their two children are over this week (not staying with me, but we are seeing a lot of them) so not much will be done on the flying front. Yesterday DD1 did vacuum downstairs though. I spent yesterday morning cooking for the freezer, so I have 4 chana dhals, 7 celery soups and 13 leek, potato and pea soups. Half of yesterday's bolognese went into the freezer for another day too. I'm going to be doing a lot more stuff for the freezer so I can spend more time doing what I enjoy rather than cooking on a daily basis.

This morning I went into town with my parents and DD2. We had a coffee in a cafe, then mum took DD to the electronic rides. DD came running back to me to tell me all about them, and slipped on a pool of water which had leaked in from the roof. She went pale, started retching and said she felt sleepy. so we decided to take her up to A&E as she just wasn't her usual self. They said it was probably mild concussion, but she seems fine now though, luckily.

After that we went to Tesco then B&Q for the mousetraps, which I've set. Hopefully we will catch them tonight.

This evening we are going to the holiday flat where they are all staying and mum is cooking us dinner. Tomorrow afternoon about 20 odd of the family are meeting up for a late lunch, and on Friday I'm taking the children to town on the steam train, having lunch in the vegetarian cafe there with my parents, sister's family and DH who is taking the day off, then coming back on the train. So no much flying will be done by me this week. I'll just have to catch up next week.

DH phoned me to say that the job he is on has been shut down while they get the asbestos people in. He can't even go back in to pick up his tools. He's also got to throw away the clothes he's wearing after double-bagging them.

DPs having to pop home before his club thing tonight, agreed he can go with not being far from home, so sent him with a sack of laundry to empty out (I couldn't be bothered to write instructions for washing machine) I've vacuumed (not that you can tell much as MEgan's been in since) I've emptied the loo, waste water and refilled the water bottles (scared stand pipes will freeze up, less chance of a full bottle freezing)

Pigpen I'm sending an email with the conference details, some people from up here are going to talk about what's been happening (professionals and a mob of lovely parents) unfortunately it's in Bradford so pretty short notice. Any other parents in Yorkshire/Humberside who are parents of children with SEN/disabilities who want the info drop me a PM with your email.

Kids narky because the pools closed today (boiler problems, it was FREEZING yesterday but they still wanted to go in so pleased they have been sensible and closed it, I did warm the lifeguard if it was cold I was throwing him in!!!) and are in a mood because I am making them eat fruit before any treats, their diet lately has been terrible, I am giving in too much to their food refusal and it's time for change, however much they resist **stamps feet** DS2s just gone in a little strop because he deliberately dropped his half a banana on the floor so I made him get another, haha I win!

Diva hope you feel better soon

AnW'sMum DPs friends on the 'subs list' so will only get to know in the week before if he gets a place, if you need to do other stuff that weekend please don't keep it free just incase I can make it, I will get another chance at some point

SarahS I have the 6.5 one, it's great for batch cooking.

Well I have been doing my MACAW in a fashion, I've done over 20 sudoku pages, just getting the time to is weird. Still got the cooking, cleaning, dog walking, water stuff etc to do but trying to find some relaxing time in the middle.

Hope you're all ok, I think I need a snack of some sort, big breakfast this morning (in a cafe so no effort needed :D ) wearing off....argh must call DP and remind him to sort sonic and woody out and get the milk I forgot to cancel, hoping it'll be ok, think it's been cold enough
One day I might be more organised...........

Well I've now sorted out DS's clothes so 1 bag of clothes to got to my brother's and another bag to go to school for spare PE kit clothes, etc.

Put the WM on yet again.

Came downstairs and there was blobs of paint all over the kitchen - DD was painting a robot while I wsa upstairs - so I had a word with DD before I cleaned it up and she says that she got most of it up. There was rather a lot of red coloured kitchen towel on the side so I dread to think how bad it was. Luckily I'd moved the ironing into the LR this morning when I was sorting it out so she'd only got paint on a couple of bits of clothes!

It's stopped snowing now and seems to have all cleared up. It's a good job really as we're supposed to be taking my grandparents out for dinner tomorrow and we can't really do that if the weather's really bad as I don't want them slipping or anything.

We're supposed to be going to Alton towers on Friday as well so I'd like it to warm up a bit before then really!
