Check out www.SayNoto0870.com - a free website that lists many normal phone numbers and 0800 numbers instead of the expensive 0870 and 0845 ones.
0845 is a local rate call, so you will generally be paying less by using an 0845 number than dialling a coded number (eg 0207 for central London) unless you live in the same area code.
We have an 0845 number for our business to save our customers money when calling us, and it costs us a bit each year (luckily we don't get too many calls lol), so a company is doing you a favour by having an 0845 number btw, not trying to get more money out of you - just thought I'd point it out so people think well of nice companies with 0845 numbers, not badly of them Do not feed the trolls please.0 Do not feed the trolls please.0

But my telephone package is all inclusive national calls EXCEPT 0845/0870/mobile and premium numbers so it actually costs me more to dial them! Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.0 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.0

Yep, 0845 numbers cost me more as well
They are classed as 'non-geographic' rather than local0

Also charged at full rate on a mobile. Cannot use inclusive minutes. On Vodafone that is 20p per minute on a pay monthly or 25p on PAYG.0

It depends whether you're buying directly from play.com or from a seller through the website.
If from play.com they will be brand new, if from a seller it will depend, you need to look what the have wrote down for it.
Yes, but like me, you'll get new stuff that you might have to wait for quite a while ! 10 days ago I placed an order, and it's not even been processed yet (well some of it has - the tradeplace items I ordered arrived within 2 days)...So the tradeplace sellers get feedback and have to give excellent service for fear of bad feedback (I assume), yet the company itself can't be bothered to deal with orders promptly and can't even email to tell you why they are having delays. 10 days with no communications is way too long IMO, had I had an email to say Xmas rush etc... I might have been a bit more understanding, but their service is honestly rubbish0
