Macdonalds/Blockbuster Promo - free tickets

A little bit of a cheeky one this one but it worked for me today.
I was passing a MacDonalds and popped in for a coffee, noticing the poster for the Blockbuster promo the small print states - no purchase required.
Hmmm.....
Chancing my arm I asked him for a free ticket which confused the average MacD employee but after he checked with the manager he passed me an empty Big Mac bog with the attached Blockbuster ticket.
So I now have a ticket for rent one film get another free ( alas didnt win a free rental ).
So the moral of the tale is - ASK - you never know

To be honest they probably do but I chanced my luck and since it was quiet and I think the staff were amazed at me actually asking they gave me a ticket...lol.

We used to do something similar a few years ago when McD's ran their Trivial Persuit scratchcard promo. We would go in after school and ask for a 'no purchase necessary' scratchcard and would usually get given 4 or 5 at a time. Was a great way of getting a few free Hamburgers and Fries

we did this @ burger king on the way home from a field trip.
A group of 30 students piled into the dead service station, some bought stuff, others just asked for the prize draw straws....
we won loads of free food etc - one guy won £100!!0 -
I'd kinda be embarassed to ask for one though LOL. You'd look funny receiving an exmpty box.
Or you could pull off a trick, saying there was no BigMac in the box when you got it
But that wouldn't be honest
