I need a suit (female)

Options
Didn't there used to be a 'I want' board or am I just being blind..?

Anyway for our Xmas day out (Spifox, charity day, very fancy, costs £90 a ticket!) I need a suit. Or something very smart anyway. I've been told a suit is best but as long as I look VERY smart then I'd be okay. I don't really have anything very smart though ;)

Where would be the best place to get a cheap suit? I really don't have money but it's my first Xmas at my job and really don't want to miss out either. Safe to say I won't be buying the £50 raffle tickets though!

  • Hi there,

    How about Asda?

Or there's a sale on at Wallis (nd a code kicking about for 20% off inc. sale items)

Or Oasis have a sale on (again, there's a code kicking about).

Peacocks is usually very good value.

Didn't think of checking Asda, after all, it is just a suit for one day... do people that wear suits all the time know the difference? :p

    Thanks for the links :D

People who are snobby about suits won't look in Asda, get something that suits your budget and that you feel comfortable wearing and don't stress about what others think and have a great time.

Asda is definately the one to try. They have some very nice looking balck jackets in at the mo as well so you could always dress with some black trousers if you have and a nice top. The other one to try is do you have any exchange shops near you as they may have something in or even the charity shops get some super stuff, just depends on your size.

    Enjoy

Thanks, I'll take a trip to asda soon and see what they have :D I'm not too bothered about what I wear really, just don't want everyone looking down on me knowing my suit is from Asda (will take the label off the jacket ;))

  • matalan often have nice taylored styles (if you are a standard shape). Maybe worth a look if youare near them. Or mail order La Redoute, always loads of discount codes going round. Hope you find something that makes you feel better than the rest of them, especially as your will be a better price!

Also, if you do get a budget suit maybe glam up with a necklace/shoes/bag? Perhaps borrow some for the night?

Matalan currently have suits which work out at £21 - they are a really nice fit & look far more expensive. I wear suits for work & have treated myself to 2 of these & they are so comfortable
