Six Months Left On Endowment

Options
We have six months left on our £20,000 25 year with profits endowment policy. When our annual statement arrived in March it was just about on track to pay out what we needed. I am just wondering, with all the financial turmoil if this policy is still on track or is their likely to be a shortfall. We did claim for a miss sold endowment and the ammount of the payout came to just £245. Nver mind it was better than nothing.

That suggests you were only £245 worse off using the surrender value. So, not the endowment isnt that bad.

Recent events would have hit returns and almost certainly you will get back less. How much less will depend on how much terminal bonus there was.

    Which provider is it?

Ring up and ask what the current and surrender values are now and compare with what it said on your statement.

It may be wise you you to go early, but need more info to say.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • The provider is Pheonix, it was Royal life but it changed a few years ago. c
