Gas - £25 (due to go down soon, I'm paying extra because the meter wasnt read for about 6 months when I first moved in here),
Electric - £15
Water - £10.77
Telephone and broadband - £24
Pet Expenses (Insurance, vaccinations and food) - £13
Sky TV - £12
TV Licence - £10odd (get this - we cant get terrestrial TV in our road as the reception is really really bad so if you want to watch TV you have to have Sky, but they still make you pay for the TV licence),

School snacks - £6.00
Travel to and from London (where bf lives) - £48

TOTAL = £197
Then once a month I put £100 into an ISA which covers things like birthdays, christmas, holidays and any other unexpected emergencies. My income is only £480 per month but after this budget I am left with £183 which usually also goes into the ISA.
I don't have a mortgage anymore as I paid all this off and I am also now debt free.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

I'vejust made a list of all the people we buy for in terms of birthdays, xmas and amounts spent for each then divided by 12 and found that I need to save £81.67 per month to cover them all!!!!
Edit- Have reduced to £77.09 per month but requires further cutting!!!!WW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
Dont mean to frighten you Kiwi - but did you include Mother's Day, Father's Day, and wedding anniversarys in there???I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0

have you thought about making a positive deficit in your budget?
by borrowing from peter to pay paul as it were, and taking a chunk out of januarys budget, you could nab some bargains in the january sales to use for presents throughout the year to comeknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
