Jug blender - Which? report

My old Moulinex jug blender has just packed up and i'm looking to buy a new one (with mill attachment). I've noticed that Which? has done a report on jug blenders and was wondering if anyone knew which one came out on top?

I was originally looking at the Kenwood BL330, but it gets rubbish reviews. Has anyone got the BL440, is that any better? Also, I know this is petty, but our kitchen cupboards don't have adjustable shelves and the jug needs to be less than 24.5cm tall in order for me to store it upright.

Any reccommendations anyone?

Thanks

I've been looking at getting a new blender, and I've settled upon a Phillips HR2067 as it seems to have very good reviews.

I've no idea what height the jug is though - most websites don't have that information, so you'd need to see it and measure it. I keep mine on the worktop because I use it so frequently so it's not an issue for me.
  • Hi

I have access to the Which report - the problem is that they have 13 best buys! ranging from £19 to £100.
The top scoring one is the Breville BL33 (~£66) closely followed by the Krups KB720744 (~£99.95) and the Philips HR1720 comfort (~£19).

For the record, the Kenwood BL330 is one of their best buys although they do say:-
Pros: Excellent blending. Easy to use. Can dismantle jug for cleaning. Can crush ice. Dosing hole for adding liquid while blending. Compact. Light. Cons: Basic with one speed only. Less sturdy than other models. Parts aren’t dishwasher-safe. Quite noisy. Capacity of only one litre
    I hope this helps,

Thanks CtC. If its any help, I wasn't planning on spending more than £30, and I definately need one with a mill attachment. Does that narrow it down a bit?
  • in that case...the Kenwood BL630 (Pros: Excellent blending, very quick, easy to use, easy to clean, ice crushing, very good cable storage, quiet Cons: Liquids may splash through the spout if you use high speeds) and the Philips HR2067 (Pros: Excellent blending, quick, easy to use, dishwasher safe and easy to clean, ice crushing, cable storage, quiet.Cons: Fiddly lid catch) are both best buys scoring 81% and costing around £25.

What does it say about the Philips HR1720?

Was going to go to Argos, but popped into Currys first and they had the BL335 on clearance at £12.95 (mill included). Unable to resist a bargain, so got the last one :j. Fingers crossed its OK.
