I have noticed quite a few of you have boxes of meat delivered from butchers to stock the freezer up.
I am interested in doing this so has anyone any recommendations for who they use.
many thanks

I wonder if you were thinking of me? I mentioned my freezer order of meat the other day. However my butcher doesn't deliver I go and collect it.
There are loads of organic meat companies who deliver but of course they aren't cheap. There's Riverford Meat boxes, The Well Hung Meat Company, Sheepdrove meats, Graig Farm and others. Just google organic meat boxes.
The other thing worth looking at is the Q Guild of butchers for your local Q Guild butcher.
You could try just asking your butcher if he would deliver to you if you ordered enough to make it worth his while.0 -
Broad Stripe comes to mind http://www.broadstripebutchers.co.uk/delivery_explanation.aspx they send codes ~& offers via email if you register
I usually get mine from a farm shop, drive there myselfOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
For anyone who lives in London (they might even deliver out of London, not sure, enquire for more details), Sparkes Organic butcher do deliveries.
I think that there is a minimum order but worth checking - I do not eat meat but buy it regularly for my DS, and have recommended them to my clients in the past and everyone has been truly happy about both service and quality. They also do non-organic.

I am very lucky in that have lots of farm shops and farms nearby where we can buy direct.
However if you do a search you will find that there are quite a lot of online butchers.
There was a thread on here where someone recommended a couple - might be worth doing a search on here.

Higher Hacknell is very good and they do introductory mixed meat boxes for £45 with free delivery: http://www.higherhacknell.co.uk/index.php?cPath=24&page=1&sort=2a
Well Hung Meat is also good, so is Sheepdrove - there are loads of others, if you want to find one near to you try putting your postcode into the search box here:
